Early Life and Background
Aishwarya Dutta was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, and later moved toward the entertainment industry. She began her career in the performing arts before establishing herself as an actress. According to biographical sources, her early experience included dancing, stage performances, modelling assignments, advertisements and music-related projects.
Her initial connection with dance helped her develop confidence in front of audiences and cameras. Like many performers, she gradually explored different opportunities rather than limiting herself to one particular field. Her transition from dancing to modelling and eventually acting became an important part of her professional journey.
Before becoming widely recognized through Tamil cinema and television, she had already gained experience in entertainment-related work. This early exposure helped her understand the demands of the industry and prepared her for the challenges of acting.
Beginning of Her Acting Career
Aishwarya Dutta's journey into films developed through smaller appearances and early projects before she received a significant opportunity in Tamil cinema. Her film career became more visible with the Tamil movie Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum, released in 2015.
The film gave her an opportunity to work in a prominent role and introduced her to Tamil audiences. She played Harini, a college student, and appeared alongside Nakul and Bindu Madhavi. The movie was a science-fiction thriller with a youthful storyline and technology-oriented theme.
Her performance and screen presence helped her gain attention as a newcomer. The film became an important turning point because it established her as an actress capable of working in the Tamil film industry.
Her entry into Tamil cinema was particularly significant because she had roots in Kolkata and had to adapt to a different language and working environment. Rather than treating this as a limitation, she built her career around opportunities in the Tamil entertainment industry.
Work in Tamil Cinema
After her debut, Aishwarya Dutta continued to explore different roles. She appeared in Paayum Puli in 2015, a Tamil action film directed by Suseenthiran. She played Dhivya and was part of a cast that included Vishal and Kajal Aggarwal.
Working in a major commercial project gave her additional exposure. It also helped her become familiar with the scale and demands of mainstream Tamil cinema.
She subsequently appeared in Aarathu Sinam, a mystery thriller released in 2016. The film featured Arulnithi and Aishwarya Rajesh and was inspired by the Malayalam thriller Memories. Dutta played a journalist in the movie, giving her an opportunity to explore a character different from her earlier roles.
Her next notable film was Sathriyan, released in 2017. The movie featured Vikram Prabhu and Manjima Mohan, while Aishwarya played a supporting character. The film combined action and drama elements and gave her another opportunity to work in a mainstream Tamil production.
She later appeared in Marainthirunthu Paarkum Marmam Enna, a thriller that had been made earlier but was released in 2018. Her filmography during this period showed her willingness to experiment with different genres and character types.

She eventually finished as the runner-up, with Riythvika winning the season. Finishing second in such a widely watched reality show significantly increased Aishwarya's popularity.
For an actress who had already worked in films, Bigg Boss offered something different. Instead of audiences seeing her only through scripted characters, viewers were able to observe her personality, reactions and communication style in a reality-show environment.
